Please note: This property is not located in Atins, but in a nearby village that’s peaceful, secluded, and rooted in sustainable tourism. Access to Atins is easy and scenic — just a 15-minute canoe ride, which we’re happy to arrange for you at a fair price. We can also help organize tours to the Lençóis Maranhenses, ensuring a smooth and authentic experience from start to finish. About your room: The room is spacious and comfortable, featuring a queen-size bed, a single bed, an extra mattress, and hooks for hanging a hammock. It includes a private ensuite bathroom with a wonderfully relaxing shower — comfort wrapped in rustic charm. We provide essential amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. You’ll also find clean cotton towels, fresh linens, and cozy cotton hammocks for your use. The room has air conditioning, and the house is naturally well-ventilated. We kindly ask guests to turn off the AC when not in the room, to help us care for the environment. Casa Ingapura – Overview Located in the village of Bar da Hora, Casa Ingapura is a rustic, artistic, and welcoming house — perfect for travelers seeking rest, nature, and authentic community-based experiences. The house features 4 independent suites, each with a private bathroom, air conditioning, hammock hooks on the veranda, and comfortable beds (Ortobom mattresses). In total, the house can accommodate up to 15 guests comfortably. Shared spaces include: A central lounge covered with carnaúba palm leaves (the Carnaúba Lounge), with large wooden tables, hammocks, and a handcrafted canoe-shaped sofa. An open, fully equipped kitchen with a 5-burner stove, oven, refrigerator, blender, French press, and utensils. Casa Ingapura can be rented as a whole or by individual suites, offering privacy and warmth either way. It's ideal for families, couples, groups of friends, or solo travelers looking to experience the true essence of the Lençóis Maranhenses in a respectful and meaningful way.

About Bar da Hora Bar da Hora is a small fishing village located near the mouth of the Preguiças River, just across from Atins — but it is not Atins. While it shares the same breathtaking natural surroundings of the Lençóis Maranhenses region, Bar da Hora offers a different kind of experience: slower, quieter, and deeply connected to local life. This is a place where tourism is community-led and grounded in respect for the people, land, and traditions. Bar da Hora follows the principles of Community-Based Tourism (CBT) and low-travel, welcoming visitors who value authenticity, sustainability, and meaningful cultural exchange. Here, you're invited to experience the rhythm of riverside life, learn from traditional knowledge, and support a local economy built on cooperation, transparency, and care for nature. Access to Bar da Hora is by canoe — a 15-minute boat ride from Atins — giving the journey an extra layer of wonder.
