As a family, we have put our hearts into setting up Muchenje Campsite and Cottages. It has taken 5 years as a family to build it all from the ground up. We want to share this peace and experience of being close to Africa's bush with our guests. We have lived in the area for 23 years and would love to make your trip unique and special. We cannot promise big game viewing from your room or campsite, but we can show you the little wonders and quiet solitude of the African bush. We feel a tie to the village that we are situated near and it is our policy to employ all of our staff from the nearby villages. We hope that you can see their culture and hear their stories and know this land as more than just a game-viewing destination. But as the Tswana proverb says '-Ke utlwile ga e tshwane le ke bonye ka matlho.- I heard is not the same as I saw.' You are always welcome to come and visit and experience our corner of Botswana for yourself.

Born and raised in Africa, it is imprinted on my heart and I love to share it. As a family we love the outdoors, camping, bird watching and fishing together. This is why we live in the bush and want to share our home with you.

We are just 7km from the entrance to the Chobe National Park, where we can show you the routes to take to see the most amazing wildlife. Take it slow and enjoy the little things; how comically human the baboons are and how the tiny waders flit across the river bank. While also seeing hundreds of elephants. Muchenje is 60km from Kasane where you can do an evening boat cruise on the beautiful Chobe and be back in camp in time for your dinner. There is also Caracal World of Wildlife, where you can cuddle a bushbaby and learn from the researchers. You can do a day trip to the Victoria Falls and witness Mosi-oa-Tunya , the Smoke that Thunders.
