Stouffer Mill Bed & Breakfast offers a truly special holiday experience. The unique construction of our 12-sided, circular, post and beam home has provided much enjoyment for our guests. Our home is situated on a 136 acre estate, high on a hill with a spectacular view of Halls Lake and the forest beyond. The comfortable guest sitting room overlooks the lake and has a cozy fireplace and TV/DVD. The hot tub room is located on the third floor with 360° view of the lake and surrounding hardwood forest. Breathtaking in the fall. WHAT A PLACE TO RELAX! The swimming pool is surrounded by a huge deck with Muskoka chairs, picnic tables and a barbecue. The pool deck trees, provide shade any time of the day, or you can bask in the sun any time of the day. There is a pool side camp-fire pit for your enjoyment. Breakfast is served in the dining room or on the front deck overlooking the lake, weather permitting. Our guests rave about the breakfasts and you can be assured that everything is home made with care and flair. You probably won’t need lunch. While you are here, take time to walk or snowshoe on our beautiful trails and experience a close touch with nature.
The Haliburton Highlands has 5 golf courses and lots of hiking trails & cycling routes. For down hill skiing we are 30 and 40 minutes from Sir Sams or Hidden Valley. Our Snowmobiling and ATV trail system is second to none, and we are within 5 minutes of both. Many of our guests experience the relaxing enjoyment of tubing down the Hawk River, 5 minutes from Stouffer Mill. There is a lovely park with covered pavilion with picnic tables and a lovely sand beach on Halls Lake for your swimming enjoyment. Our area is fortunate to have many talented artisans who have their studios open to the public. Shopping is available in Minden, Haliburton and Dorset where you will enjoy the small town atmosphere. Stouffer Mill Bed & Breakfast Getaway is a place where you can truly relax whether you stay for one or two nights or a week or two. It is a place that you will want to come back to.
