Top of Algonquin BnB is located 3 kms east of Highway 630, on Peddlers Drive, near the Hamlet of Eau Claire , 25 kms from Kiosk, Algonquin Park. Our home offers spacious accommodation, bright sunny rooms in a quiet, pastoral setting. Eau Claire Gorge, Samuel de Champlain PP, the Town of Mattawa and Antoine Mountain ski resort are all a short drive away. We offer full English breakfasts and will also prepare delicious dinners upon request (cost extra).Relax and enjoy our three-season sun room, enjoy the views from the front and rear decks, or curl up near the woodstove in our lower level family room. If it's rainy, you can enjoy some Netflix or Amazon Prime and Starz, a book or a boardgame. Start or end your Algonquin Park, Samuel de Champlain, Antoine Mountain or Nature's Harmony adventure in comfort! Free Wi-Fi and both an indoor and outdoor clothes line is available to dry out that wet camping gear! A large firepit for you to enjoy is located a few steps off the back deck. Firewood is provided free of charge. A six person outdoor hot tub is also available for guest use year round, free of charge. Guided nature walks, by foot or snowshoe can be provided, including night time treks by snowshoe. Note: guests are not permitted to prepare food using our kitchen.
You hosts, Rick and Colleen, stayed in many Bed and Breakfasts in Canada, the UK, Ireland and New Zealand, which inspired us to open our own BnB when we relocated from North Bay to rural Mattawa in 2019. We love sharing our space and the beauty of this part of Northern Ontario with guests, and providing visitors with a comfortable stay, relaxation, a bit of pampering , full bellies and recommendations of things to see and do in the area. Hosting guests from Ontario, other provinces in Canada, and around the world is a special treat for us and is like travelling around the world without leaving home. Welcome to Top of Algonquin!
