Heron's Reef Holiday Apartments are unbeatable value for money, with a convenient location, clean and well-furnished on a beachside property. The lagoon and beach are too shallow for swimming, & rocky, but the area overlooking the ocean is secluded and perfect for relaxing and watching the waves break on the reef. The Bougainvillea Studio and the Ferns one-bedroom face the mountain, and the Coral Beach and Reef View studios overlook the lagoon. There is NO free wifi due to the high costs of internet services on island- but there are two hotspots from the on-island providers Bluesky and Zenbu and you can buy vouchers online (Zenbu) or from several shops (Bluesky) around the island.
We are off-site, with no reception on arrival, and transfers are provided by an independent company. We are mostly busy working in our restaurants around the island, where you are eligible for a 10% discount off meals. But we will make an effort to meet you and respond to any queries you may have by phone.
There are night markets four days a week, and a day market in town on Saturdays. There are lots of restaurants and beaches a five minute drive away. There are local stores for break, milk and essentials just a few minutes walk from the property. The beach is fairly rocky,great for sandcastles and beachcombing, but Muri beach for swimming and water sports is 5 minutes drive away. The area is very safe, secluded, but for family holidays with small children possibly Muri Beach, Arorangi or Titkaveka would be the best choice as there are no hotels and entertainment within wlaking distance.
