We are looking forward to welcome you at Casa Pé di Polon! When booking, you will have our full house, terrace and garden at your disposal. Our house has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a spacious living room and was renovated in 2019. Our holiday house is located in a small rural village in a beautiful valley. Since it only takes you 10 min by car (30 min by foot) to the main road Praia-Assomada-Tarrafal it is also the ideal place to discover the rest of Santiago Island.
We are a couple with two kids living in Belgium. But Jairzinho was bron and raised in Picos (Cape Verde) where we have our house. Jairzinho is a postdoctoral researcher and docent at a University in Norway and Lore works as a teacher in Belgium. We both love travelling and have seen many parts of the world together. We ourselves have used Booking several times and we are happy to host Booking users as guests in our home in Cape Verde.
Our house is located in a little village in a beautiful valley. With only a few houses around and only 1 or 2 cars passing a day, it is a place where you will find stillness in the middle of nature. The mountains and valleys around Leitãozinho are ideal to go hiking. With a couple of days of rain in the months of August, September and October the surroundings transform in a green oasis with little rivers and waterfalls all around. Between March and the end of July the land can be very dry, but the mountainous landscapes will be evenly stunning. Since our house is only 10 minutes driving or 30 minutes walking from the main road between Praia, Assomada and Tarrafal it is also an ideal starting place to discover Santiago Island.
