Our cottage in the foothills is an ideal place for everyone who wants to slow down, breathe in fresh air and experience the true atmosphere of the countryside. Wood, peace and the warmth of the fireplace create a cosy feeling of home you will love returning to after a day spent in nature. On colder days, the cottage is heated with wood in the fireplace stove, which is the main source of heating and the heart of the entire space. The crackling fire and natural warmth give the stay a unique and authentic character. Firewood is fully available to guests throughout their stay. The cottage is arranged over two levels. On the ground floor, there is one separate, lockable bedroom. On the upper floor, there is a second bedroom located in an open-plan space that flows naturally into the living area. This layout creates an airy and cosy atmosphere typical of traditional mountain cottages. If you are looking for a place with soul, where you can light a fire in the evening, enjoy the quiet of the foothills and wake up in the morning to calm surroundings and natural light, our cottage is the perfect choice for you.

Chata Ujo cottage was created thanks to the skilled hands of my father, who built it with love and great care. Offering it to our guests today is a tribute to him. The name “Chata Ujo” carries the memory of his nickname – Ujo – as he was known among friends. We are happy to welcome you to this special place, where family spirit, tradition and the peaceful atmosphere of the Czech countryside come together. 🌲 We have furnished the cottage so that every guest can feel the warmth of home – whether you come to relax, celebrate a special moment, or simply slow down for a while. We care deeply about details. We believe that it is the small things that create the magic that makes people feel truly welcome and at ease. Several times a year, we reserve the cottage for ourselves – not only to rest, but also to continue improving it and taking loving care of it. Our greatest joy? The surroundings of the cottage offer an ideal combination of peace, nature and attractive excursion destinations. The foothills are crisscrossed with forest paths and trails, perfect for hiking, cycling trips and relaxed walks. Nature lovers will appreciate the beautiful landscape of the Smrčiny Mountains, as well as lookout towers and viewpoints offering views of the surrounding countryside and beyond the borders. A popular destination is the Háj u Aše lookout tower. Worth visiting are also the town of Aš, the historic town of Cheb, and the spa towns of Františkovy Lázně and Karlovy Vary. The cottage is fenced, making it suitable for guests travelling with a dog. Guests can enjoy outdoor seating, a grill or a fire pit, ideal for summer evenings by the fire. For children, there is a trampoline that will delight both younger and older guests. There is a road near the cottage, but it does not significantly disturb the stay. Thanks to the sound insulation of the cottage, guests can enjoy peaceful nights and comfortable relaxation indoors. In summer, guests can enjoy trips into nature, cycling routes and outdoor activities, while in winter the area offers quiet winter walks and the romantic atmosphere of the foothills. The location is ideal for families, couples and guests travelling with their four-legged companions.
