This charming guest house is located in the town of Mittenwald, a 15-minute drive from Elmau Castle. It offers traditional rooms, a restaurant with entertainment and an outdoor café. The Alpenrose dates from the 13th century and features a Medieval-style façade. All rooms at the Alpenrose feature cable TV and a private bathroom with shower. The nearby Karwendelbahn Cable Car takes guests to the top of the Karwendel Mountains. In winter, there is a local bus to nearby ski resorts. Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a 20-minute drive away. The Alpenrose in Mittenwald offers free parking. It is 2 km from the Austrian border and a 35-minute drive from the city of Innsbruck.
