Caleton Del Golfo is an old house, located in the El Golfo, southwest of the island of Lanzarote, by the sea; bordering the Timanfaya National Park. It has been family owned since the late nineteenth century and was always used as a holiday residence. In 2000 was adapted to provide its current use for rural tourism. It has 3 fully equipped apartments and it retains the traditional typical Canarian architecture. During the first restoration, in the 60’s Cesar Manrique intervened; at the time cousin of the owners. The house revolves around a courtyard with a cistern that collects rainwater from the roofs, and then distributed to the rooms. We wanted to keep intact the magnificent terrace to continue to enjoy the sun, eat or watch the unrivaled sunsets. We want you to enjoy this home as intensely as the many generations of our family did and especially our grandparents. Caleton del Golfo participates in environmental protection, so we recycle waste and actively seek to do everything possible using energy saving light bulbs, drip irrigation, saving faucet flow, dual cargo tanks and everything required for the footprint we leave on the island as small as possible.

This holiday house from the nineteenth century is situated in the village of El Golfo, footsteps from the sea. It was restored in 2000, comfortable apartments were created retaining traditional elements that existed in the house and which are typical of Canarian architecture. The apartments are very comfortable and have a bedroom with double bed, dining/kitchen area and a bathroom with shower equipped with hairdryer, magnifying mirror and amenities (gel/shampoo and body lotion dispenser). We offer room cleaning during your stay. The apartments face the interior of the house except the Studio which is situated by the outside entrance. The common areas living and dining room, the patio and the stunning terrace are the original parts of the house. It also offers 2 watering pools, one on the terrace (freshwater) and a natural pool with fresh sea salt water and with access directly from the house.

The town of El Golfo is popular during the day, many visitors from the island come to enjoy its good cuisine and the Charco de los Clicos. It is also a few minutes from Timanfaya, Los Hervideros, Papagayo beaches...the perfect location for some relaxing days.
