In 2022, I spent a year in Tenerife with my patchwork family and close friends. The tranquility and power of nature inspired me to further develop this special place into a holistic retreat center. At the beginning of 2024, an adjacent banana plantation was added, where a permaculture food forest is now taking shape. At its core is the farm-to-table principle: homegrown fruits, vegetables, and herbs are processed directly in our organic restaurant and served to guests as fresh, nutrient-rich dishes. A Place of Regeneration and Inspiration Finca El Drago is designed as a space for transformation and is constantly expanding its offerings. Planned additions include yoga halls, meditation spaces, sweat lodges, ice baths, and adventure areas for families. The finca will also become a cultural hub, featuring a festival space for mindful ecstatic dance events, theater performances, concerts, and open-air cinema. In this way, Finca El Drago is growing into a living ecosystem, where nature, people, and culture harmoniously intertwine. By combining relaxation, activity, and inspiration, it becomes a place where people not only unwind but also take away sustainable impulses for their lives. The Villa Finca el Drago is located in the Orotava valley, in Tenerife’s green and fruitful north, where Alexander von Humboldt conducted botanical, geological and astronomical research at the age of 30 making him world famous. From here you can follow his path up to spectacular moon-like lava mountains, the cañadas around Pico del Teide, or by watching the sunrise over the islands, following his path down for a healthy beach walk on the black sand banks of the Atlantic Ocean.
