Beautiful and peaceful mini home in a unique place. Location is perfect: Just about 15 minutes drive from the city and airport but next to the Lake Norvajärvi in the middle of arctic nature. The lakeside is the perfect place to admire the northern lights. You can spot them even from your private sauna house's jacuzzi! A cross-country ski trail starts from the lake shore next to your house. And of cource all the other winter activities are there ready for you. Maybe you want to light a fire in the campfire and enjoy marshmallows and hot cocoa.

Lake Norvajärvi is located near the city but it is yet in the middle of the arctic nature. There are a lot of people living in the area in their homes and also there are many summer cottages at the lakeside. Please respect their privacy as we Finns love silence and tranquility and value privacy. For Finns we have every mans rights meaning we can walk in the nature and forest even if it is not our own land. However we have some unwritten rules: We never tresspass other people private yards or beach and we never harm or litter the nature. As we do not have fences and there might be a lot of trees in the yards, it is sometimes difficult to tell if you are in someone else's yard or not. Good advice is: If you see a residential building, you are way too close to someone else's private yard. Also all the small roads leading from the main road towards lake or forest are usually all private ones and shall not be entered. In winter, roads and walkways are slippery. Snow and ice make getting around challenging. Make sure you have the right equipment for getting around, such as winter or studded shoes, and enough time to get from one place to another. Please note that studded shoes indoors damage floor surfaces, so take your shoes off when you enter - as we Finns have a polite habit of doing.
