Our French home has wonderful views over a valley which is magically located within the city of Vire which offers shopping, market day, restaurants, cinema, walking and so much more. Your rooms overlooks a wooded valley with the castle in the distance. Your bathroom is adjacent to your room. Continental breakfast on request. A renovation project is in progress but will not disrupt your stay with us. When I was hosting in the UK I was a super host and wish to achieve that status for here too.

There are plenty of things to do in and around Vire. In Vire you can visit the Musée de Vire which is nestled in an 18th century Hôtel-Dieu, where you can explore the history of its territory. La Porte-Horloge, built in the 13th century. A short distance outside of Vire, Barrage de la Dathée, an attractive walk whatever the weather, enjoyed by hikers. Souleuvre Viaduct, enjoyed by bikers and good for adrenaline seekers. THE D-DAY LANDING BEACHES, 6 June 1944 were nothing less than the largest and most complex combined airborne and amphibious military operation of all time happened. St Malo, renowned for its coastal location, the charm of its privateer history, and its unique architecture. Granville, home of Christian Dior, a visit to the 'old town' is a must, wonderful seafood restaurants. There is so much more to do around Vire being located in Calvados and close to Manche and Orne.
