The OVO Network team’s opinion - Chalet K1027 in Cordon is a wonderful three-storey chalet for 14 guests (12 adults), with six bedrooms and seven bath/shower rooms. The chalet's spectacular views are a real highlight of this chalet – there are three balconies where you can enjoy them, as well as a sauna and a hot tub. Inside, the house has been imaginatively furnished and decorated, with a stunning modern kitchen and a large dining table made by the owner. There's a cosy seating area with a TV, but there are also TVs in all of the bedrooms, so you'll always be able to watch what you want! The lower ground floor has a ski room, a utility area and a great games room/gym with a pool table, darts board, basketball net, a treadmill and exercise bike. There's also cosy seating and a TV. It's the perfect space for older children who want to do their own thing. There's a bunk room for four with a bath/shower room, and a separate WC and shower for guests using the hot tub and sauna on the terrace. There's a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room and access to the ground floor balcony, which has a dining area and a summer lounge. You'll find four more bedrooms on the top floor – three doubles (two with balcony access) and another room with two single beds, all of which have en-suite shower rooms with WCs. There's yet another seating area on the top floor, which has a pool table and doors onto the balcony. This really is a superb chalet where a large group of friends and family can all enjoy their privacy, but with several communal areas where you can get together when you wish. And with so many luxury facilities, it might just be hard to leave it! Free wifi, cleaning, towels & linen included.

For a small village, Cordon packs a big punch for winter sports. You can drive to the village’s family-friendly slopes in five minutes, or take the shuttle bus, which stops 400m from the chalet. There’s plenty more skiing a little further afield – a 10-minute drive will take you to the Évasion Mont-Blanc area of Combloux, Megève, and Saint-Gervais. Beyond that, 30 minutes away, is the Espace Diamant, linking Praz-sur-Arly, Bellecombe, Crest-Volant, Flumet, and Les Saisies, which hosted the winter Olympics in 1992. For an evening you will never forget, ski the eerily beautiful Vallée Blanche under a full moon – accompanied by a guide, this 23km run with a 2,000m drop will take you from the Aiguille du Midi to the Mer de Glace. Other winter sports just minutes away from Chalet K1027 include dog-sledding, and snow-shoe walking. There is just as much to do in the summer – the mountains are a magnet for walkers, cyclists and golfers. Mountain golf courses offer something a little bit special – fabulous views, clean crisp air and some challenging terrain. There are several golf courses to choose from within an easy drive of Chalet K1027, including the Mont-d’Arbois course at Megève, and the famous Chamonix course. There are 80km of walking trails around Cordon itself, taking in waterfalls, farms and lush green pastures. The further you go, the more there is to discover, with more hiking at nearby Sallanches, Combloux, Megève, and Chamonix. If you’re looking for adventure, why not try canyoning, rafting or hydrospeeding? More gentle water activities are available, with swimming lakes at Combloux, Flumet and Sallanches, where three lakes offer the choice of swimming, fishing and wind-surfing. Cyclists can follow in the tracks of the Tour de France or choose from vertiginous mountain descents. The village is on a marked cycling trail and the Cordon climb is well-known.
