Set in the centre of a beautiful medieval village, a stones throw from the historic castle and museum, our cottage is tucked away in a pretty courtyard with access to a large garden with dining and BBQ and a fun bar area. Local mini market and restaurants all a short walk away and we are only 25 minutes from the world famous Puy du Fou. The gite is set on two floors with a spacious double bedroom and an open plan kitchen/lounge with a double sofa bed on the ground floor. Suitable for 2/3. Pets are welcome and we have several gates to ensure they don't wander too far! Parking is easy and free in the courtyard right outside the property. We are in the centre of the Vendee with lots of touristic facilities all around us as well as the lovely Atlantic coast and beautiful La Rochelle within one hour. Far enough away from the busy coastal areas to enjoy the tranquility of the countryside yet near enough to enjoy all the seaside facilities if you choose to do so.

We have been hosting guests at our gites for over twenty years with people from all over Europe enjoying our lovely corner of France. We know that for our guests it is a very much deserved break that they have been planning and anticipating for a long time so we will be as present or as discreet as you want us to be, our main objective is that you have a great time here. We welcome animals and have several of our own who all LOVE kids being around and it is a lovely place for all of them!

The village is small but has a pizzeria and a very well regarded restaurant within a very short walk. There is a well equipped mini market with a small cafe bar attached. Many of our guests come to enjoy the world famous theme park of Puy du Fou which is only 25 minutes by car. About one hour from many beautiful Atlantic beaches. Loads of touristic activities in the region including motor sports, water parks, high branch climbing, walking, kayaking, biking in the huge Mervent forest.
