Domaine de Rateau, near Bordeaux and Saint Emilion, is a charming old house with two hectares of park with centenary trees, swimming pool of 7 meters by 15, and three comfortable rooms renovated with taste. It is a peaceful and relaxing place, where you will be received in the rules of the art of French hospitality. The common areas offer a stylish double living room with TV, library, fireplace; dining room; terrace; ping pong table; board games. A barbecue is available for guests. Tea and coffee are available all day long in the dining room.
Emmanuelle is a painter, and has lived for many years in South America. She brought back from her travels the taste of exchanges and hospitality. Excellent cook, she will receive you at her table of hosts (extra charge, and on reservation). You can count on her to advise you on all the activities, tours and wine tastings that the surrounding area offers.
Domaine de Rateau is located in a beautiful hilly countryside, near Guitres, where you will find bakery and shops. Saint Emilion is 18 km, and Bordeaux 44 km. Navigable rivers and canoe / paddle rental nearby; forest to walk, vineyards of Pomerol and Saint Emilion and Fronsac nearby.
