In 2011, after 14 months of restoration work, the Domaine des Ormeaux opened its four gîtes, followed in 2017 by a guest room. Since then, thanks to the valuable feedback from our guests, we have continually adapted our services to best meet their expectations. We do everything we can to ensure that your stay is a unique experience, combining comfort and discoveries. You will enjoy a personalized welcome, enhanced by little attentions, as well as our expert advice for exploring the region: must-see visits, gourmet addresses, cultural or sporting activities. Located in the heart of the Dordogne Périgord, the Domaine des Ormeaux welcomes you in charming accommodations (gites and guest rooms) set in old farmhouses renovated around a peaceful courtyard. Reserved for adults over 16, this place is a true haven of serenity, ideal for recharging your batteries and enjoying the peace and quiet. Faithful to a tradition of hospitality passed down in our family since the 17th century, we make it a point of honor to make your stay an authentic experience, marked by the Périgord art of living. As the Domaine is not suitable for groups, the furniture and dishes cannot be moved between the gîtes, thus ensuring that each accommodation retains its harmony and comfort. Whether you are alone, as a couple or with friends (up to four people), our priority is that you feel perfectly at home. Shared spaces, such as the swimming pool and the park, offer a setting conducive to conviviality while respecting your privacy, for a perfect balance between moments of relaxation and moments of sharing.

Domaine des Ormeaux, nestled in the heart of the Périgord countryside, welcomes you on a peaceful hill, just one kilometer from the charming village of Ajat. For your daily needs, Thenon, located 5 km away, offers all the amenities: a Carrefour Contact, two bakeries, an organic store, a pharmacy, a doctor and much more. You will also find several options for eating, including two restaurants, two pizzerias, as well as a lively guinguette by the water in summer. Far from the hustle and bustle of the large tourist areas, our location offers an ideal starting point to explore the treasures of the Périgord. You will be only 25 minutes from Montignac-Lascaux, 30 minutes from Périgueux and 45 minutes from Sarlat, while enjoying the calm and serenity of our estate. We will be delighted to share with you authentic places, often unknown, which testify to the richness of our region.
