Hello, We are Katie and Mark and we moved to France in 2012. Soon afterwards we bought Ferme Les Bouts after falling in love with the small village and stunning mountain view. We completed renovating our farm, Petite Ferme Les Bouts (sleeps 6) and Grenier Les Bouts (sleeps 2) in 2016. In 2022 we completed renovating another property 50m away which is divided into 2 apartment. The top apartment, The Loft we let on a holiday basis while the lower one is rented long term. We love welcoming guests from all over the world to share our little piece of mountain heaven. We are a small, family run business. It's just us with no additional staff and all our properties are self check in/out. We allow you to enjoy your stay with ease of being self sufficient, however if you have any questions or would like local advice and recommendations please ask and we will be more than happy to meet and chat with you! Grenier Les Bouts is a true gem perfect for a couple on a romantic break, honeymoon or to simply escape everyday life and relax in the mountains. Renovated to a superb standard, this gorgeous mountain escape offers stunning, far reaching views across the Portes du Soleil, of which we promise you will not tire. It is a detached/stand alone stone building (only for our guests, you will not be sharing) over 121 years old previously used for grain storage for the main house and farm. Set over 2 floors we have couples in mind who want to hide away and experience a mountain holiday at its best. No detail has been missed here, from your welcome hamper on arrival to the handmade wooden chairs on the balcony. The out of plumb walls and wonky original front door are all part of its charm! The upper floor comprises of an entrance through patio doors from the balcony into an open plan living area exposing the high vaulted ceiling. The snug lounge area, together with a log burning stove and radiator, creates a wonderfully cosy atmosphere where you can curl up on the sofa during those snowy winter nights. You can enjoy vin chaud on the balcony in the winter watching the snow glisten or a cool glass of wine in the summer while listening to the trickling stream below and sheep bells. Stairs lead downstairs to the bedroom and ensuite shower room with underfloor heating. There are further French patio doors from the bedroom leading onto a private patio with bistro table, chairs and top of the range BBQ. A car is required to stay in all our properties as there are no public transport links into the village. Parking at each property is private and off road, and parking for skiing is easy in the numerous carparks available. We are a small, family run business. You will not tire of the activities we have on our doorstep! Excellent skiing, ski touring and snow shoeing during the winter with mountain biking, hiking, lake swimming, sailing on Lac Geneva or just relaxing at a mountain restaurant with a vin chaud or refreshing glass of rose, we have it all here! The Portes du Soleil is one of the largest ski playgrounds in the world; 196 Lifts and 650km of skiable terrain. The area offers skiing for all abilities and allows you to ski across the French-Swiss border as you please. The charming alpine village of Morzine bursts with alpine charm throughout the year with outstanding winter lights through the snowy months and stunning flower displays in the summer. Ice rinks and horse drawn carriages are all part of daily life here in the winter, while bustling local markets, spectacular flower displays, mountain meadows scattered with alpine flowers and herds of bell wearing cows are what we are about in the summer. A car is required to stay in all our properties as there are no public transport links into the village. Parking at each property is free and off road and parking for skiing is easy in the numerous carparks available. La Cote d'Arbroz village offers a charming restaurant which is a 5 minute walk away. Our team is just us, Katie, Mark and our two children and we are on hand to help out where needed. We’ve lived here for over 12 years and have a wealth of knowledge to help you pack your stay to the brim…from advising you on where to ski or eat, directing you on the best road, down hill or off grid biking routes as well as pointing you to must visit places.
