The Apartment has a maximum capacity of 6 guests if all the double beds are shared. • The tastefully decorated main bedroom has a 140x200 double bed and ample storage. • The separate mezzanine bedroom has a 140x200 double bed with plenty of under-stairs storage. it is accessed by steep steps and has limited head height so is perfect for children, young adult and the physically able. • The Living space has a fully equipped kitchen, including a washer-dryer machine, dishwasher and microwave, dining table seats 6, ample seating, sofa bed, HD smart TV (Netflix, etc) and free Wi-Fi. • There is free parking directly outside the Apartment. • The Cave is in the basement with storage for up to four bicycles. You will be close to all the amenities Luchon offers in this centrally-located, comfortable Apartment. The park and Luchon Thermal baths are down the road 300m, the ski gondola 500m from the front door and the restaurants, shops and cinema are only 3 minutes away on Allée D’Etigny (Luchon’s High Street). If you are after a holiday full of activities, Luchon has lots to offer there, too! It is the perfect location for skiing, cycling, hiking, fishing, golf, tennis, and horse riding, to list a few. An entirely car-free holiday is possible if you want! After a booking, you will be sent the lock box code giving access to the Apartment and Cave.

We wanted to live somewhere that provided a different pace of life than that of central London. Ian and I wanted to find somewhere that would provide an ideal environment for the hobbies and outdoor pursuits we love; Cycling Skiing Hiking Wild Swimming Fishing Golf Horse riding and discovering new places. The Pyrenees ticked all these boxes, and the Queen of the Pyrenees, Bagneres de Luchon, captured our imagination.

Luchon, this elegant Belle Epoch spa town, has been a destination spot for several centuries, not only because of the famous thermal waters, discovered by the Romans and developed by successive generations, but also the area’s wealth of outdoor activities and its proximity to Spain and (10km) mean that Luchon is the perfect centre for a restorative or active outdoor holiday for all ages and all the family. The Pyrenees and Luchon are a magical place for everyone. Suppose you are after a holiday full of outdoor activities for the family. You are spoilt for choice. Luchon has lots to offer: skiing, road & gravel cycling, mountain biking, hiking, swimming, canyoning, fishing, golf, tennis, horse riding, paragliding, and exploring the area by motorbike. The local skiing is at Superbagneres (8 minutes by telecabine), Peyragudes (14 km) away, and Mortis (18 Km) and should not be underestimated. If you drive for just over 1 hour, you could be skiing with the Spanish Royal family at Baquira Berat. Luchon is a regular host for the Tour de France. Unsurprising when you consider the number of famous Cols on the doorstep: Peyresourde, Portillon, Mente, Porte de Bales, and the climbs to Superpagneres and Peyragudes, and there is easy access to Cols Aspin, Tourmalet and Aspet. Mountain biking is, in the opinions of many 2nd, to none. The hiking offers routes for all abilities and levels of fitness. Walks range from virtually flat to seriously challenging hikes. In every case, the trek will take you to some of the most beautiful spots the Pyrenees offer: the lacs in the Valley du Lis or at Oo. The tennis and golf clubs are 5 and a 12-minute walks from the Apartment. The nearest fishing is Lake de Badech, just 2kms from the Apartment. Lourdes/Tarbes (101 km) and Toulouse (120km) are the nearest airports, train stations at St Gaudens and Montrejeau and TGV at Tarbes. The possibilities are truly endless in this stunningly beautiful Pyrenean mountain town.
