Angeac Charente is renowned for it's dinasour era archealogical site which is normally open to the public in July by previous booking. We are within walking distance to the Charente and the walk is beautiful over 3 stone bridges, past a lock and onto the bubbling waters near Vibrac. We are directly on the Velo flow from Angouleme to Cognac with Cycling routes clearly indicated. Walking routes along the river towards Chateuneuf sur charente as well as Vibrac and Saint Simon. A local Cognac house is a few kilometers away and bookings can be made to visit. Ideally positioned 10minutes away from the N10, easily reached from the airports of Bordeaux and Cognac.. 1 hour away from the Estuary and just over 1 hour from the Atlantic ocean in Royan. The beautiful Brantome in Perigord is an hour away. Villebois La Vallete and Magnac Lavallete Villiers with it s wonderful La Mercerie Chateaux a stop on the way to /back from Brantome.

A kilometer away one of the oldest Cognac Distillery proudly produces a local Cognac. A short drive from Segonzac, 20 min away from Cognac and the Cognac houses which offer tours of the production and history of Cognac. Jarnac is 12 min away by car. The Charente river and the 3 stone bridges are a 10 minute walk away and you can use the picnic area at the last bridge to relax. Angouleme the capital city of Comics is a 20 min drive and Bordeaux is 1hr 10min. Bordeaux Airport is the closest internation airpor.
