Gilles and Jim are an Anglo-French couple, delighed to host you in our beautiful home in the Lot et Garonne. We enjoy meeting people and sharing information about the region and its gastronomic delights, and to help you to explore its rich history, bastides and historic towns.

We welcome you to our home, Les Martinets, built in 1870 and fully renovated in 2024. The house sits at the heart of the village of Fongrave on the River Lot. A two minute walk and you can enjoy the herons, swans, kingfishers and wildlife of the river, whilst fishing, boating or paddle boarding, or sitting on the pier watching the world go by. The boat ramp and fishing pier are available and free for public use. The property enjoys private gardens, a large terrace, a boules court and children’s play area and a swimming pool. The village boasts a restaurant and bar with beer garden and a pizza parlour all within 150 metres of Les Martinets. During the summer months, the village comes alive every Thursday night when up to 1,200 people come to attend our famous night market, offering fresh cooked foods from local producers, music and dancing into the night. Our rooms are all fully renovated, with king size beds, high quality linens and Linvosges towels and separate pool towels . Relax on our sun terrace by the pool, play badminton or paddle tennis, boules and for the children a playground with slide, climbing frame and swings. At night enjoy a drink in our outdoor lounge area and an evening meal, 3 courses including wine in a dedicated outdoor dining area. Free parking is available directly in front of the property and we can offer secure storage for those arriving by bicycle.

Fongrave is a village on the river Lot, situated in the heart of the beautiful region of Lot-et-Garonne in south-western France. We are located 4km east of Castelmoron-sur-Lot and 6km west of Sainte-Livrade-sur-Lot. From here you can explore the history, vineyards and bastides of Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Lot-et-Garonne is a region of good food, relaxed living with incredible tourist attractions and is known for its conviviality, good living and numerous Bastides and Castles along the rivers Lot and Garonne. The region was the scene of many battles between the English and French during the Hundred Years War and home of the Black Prince. Lot et Garonne has over 200km of waterways and the rivers are tranquil and navigable, with river side restaurants, fishing and water sports available. Fongrave is in the centre of the region, providing easy access to all the major towns including Agen, Marmande, Villeneuve-sur-Lot, Duras, Nérac and Monflanquin.
