Permeated with history, dating back to the XVIII century, Maison a Deux Mains (House of Two Hands) is a thoughtfully renovated bourgeois abode, located in the small Grand Cru town of Ay-Champagne. Once owned by the champagne grower Henri Goutorbe , this elegant and comfortable homestead offers everything from the traditional French charm to the modern amenities. We offer several areas for our guests to relax, unwind and enjoy. The elegant Petit Salon on the ground floor offers a quiet escape for those looking for a brief respite. Upstairs, the Grand Salon serves as a comfortable space for larger gatherings, and those looking to either watch the 55” HD QLED Smart TV, or share stories and games with the other guests. In fine weather, the guests are welcome to take a break and lounge comfortably in our secluded garden. Surely the favorite space in the whole house, is the cellar. What better way to unwind, than to head down to the wine cellar and enjoy champagne or a customized tasting. Guestrooms include a locally sourced French - American fusion breakfast, as well as several other complementary amenities. Our property is adults only (age 16+) and we do not allow pets.

Ay is a Grand Cru village featuring some of the best wineries the champagne region has to offer. Everything in the village is within easy walking distance. Restaurants, bakeries, distillerie Goyard, museum Pressoria, champagne houses for tastings and tours, wine bar, and a stroll through the vineyards all await you. Please note many of the champagne houses require prior reservation for a tasting or a tour. Some of the notable champagne houses: Bollinger, Deutz, Ayala, Louis Roederer, Goutorbe, Dauby, Giraud, Grillat, Egrot, Lallier, Collery, Malard, and Collet, as well as several others in neighboring villages. Ay is conveniently located between Reims (30 min away) and Epernay (5 min away), with either a short drive or direct train access to both.
