Discover the beauty of the Allier and its surroundings! In addition to our own picturesque village of Meaulne, the Allier region offers many charming places to explore. You'll find idyllic, picturesque, and historic towns nestled amidst stunning natural landscapes. One of the highlights is the Forêt de Tronçais, where you can witness the roaring of deer during the autumn rutting season and go foraging for edible mushrooms. It’s also a perfect area for hiking and cycling. There’s something to do for everyone: tree climbing, canoeing, paddle boating, boat rentals, stand-up paddling, paintball, bungee jumping, sports, fishing, and golfing. Art and culture lovers will also find plenty to enjoy – from beautiful castles and local brocantes (flea markets), to delicious French cuisine in various restaurants, theme parks, and luxurious spas.
