Pedro's Garden is a converted farmhouse set in almost an 3000 sq m of garden. There are three apartments of which two are loft conversions. The loft conversion each have a double bedroom, shower room and kitchen/living area with a double sofa bed. They are equipped with microwave ovens and two place hobs. There is a table and chairs which can be used on the balcony. The ground floor apartment has one double bedroom, shower room, kitchen and living room with double sofa bed. There is also a small patio. A barbecue is available on request. There are also laundry facilities if required. There is a swimming pool in the garden and also a play house for children. Guinea pigs run free at the back.
We worked as lorry drivers in the UK and afterwards became HGV instructors before our move to France in 2014. We have spent two years updating and converting the house and it has always been our dream to run a guest house.
Pontenx les Forges is a small village with a bakery, small supermarket, chemist, hairdresser and a newsagent/tobacconist. We are very close to the coast at Mimizan and the lakes at Aureilhan and Biscarosse. Bordeaux is one hour away and the Spanish border just one and a half. The area is very quiet and peaceful. Mimizan is a very popular surfer's beach.
