A trip to the historic city of Limoges is highly recommended , offering lots of great bars and quaint restaurants. The cathedral which is quite stunning and well worth a visit. The Christmas market is amazing too, with lots to see and buy.
The local town of Bessines sur Gartempe is just 8 minutes away by car, which offers great amenities and a fabulous artisan Boulangerie. There is also 2 supermarkets and a market on friday to purchase all your needs. Lac de saint Pardoux is only a 20 drive away with spectacular views of the lake and surrounding area, with lots of water activities and events in the summer season.
