This house has been completely modernised to provide quality accommodation in the beautiful, historic town of Uppingham. It's a short drive to Rutland Water, Stamford and all the charming villages and places of interest in the picturesque, unspoiled county of Rutland. We have a driveway for one car, and there are no parking restrictions here anyway. It is a short walk up the hill to the High Street to visit the historic town's antique shops, independent clothes and gift shops etc. and restaurants The interior of the house has been refurbished to a very high standard with a new boiler, kitchen, bathroom with new shower etc. Downstairs is light, airy and open plan with an additional sun lounge at the rear. This is a lovely, warm, sunny place to relax even in winter. There are 2 double bedrooms however the 2nd one is on the small side but accommodates a double bed, bedside cabinet and a hanging space for clothes. The first bedroom is much larger and has a fitted wardrobe and cupboard. There is an open-plan lounge,, kitchen and sunroom to the rear of the house. The house is in a quiet residential area but within walking distance of this lovely, historic town.

We both have a design background and a huge interest and involvement in renovating and developing houses. We take great pride in cleaning and preparing the house ready for our guests so they have the best time possible. We want you to really enjoy your time here in Uppingham and the beautiful Rutland area. We love living in the town ourselves and like to meet our guests if possible and welcome them to our house. The house is in a peaceful location just down the hill from the main High street and all that Uppingham has to offer: We have great restaurants, characterful pubs/wine bar, and lots of independent retailers, antique shops and art galleries, all in a historic heritage setting. Everything is within walking distance. Open countryside and public footpaths are all near too. Famous Rutland Water and its cycling tracks and bike hire is about 4 miles away. Historic Stamford and Burghley House is about 18 mins away. Rockingham Castle is close by as well as Kirby Hall and beautiful Launde Abbey. There is a Co-op in the town open until 10 pm. There is also a One Stop store on High Street West and a Budgens in the local petrol station. There is an award-winning new Sports Centre built by Uppingham School within walking distance of the apartment. It has a lovely swimming pool, squash, tennis and badminton courts and various exercise and fitness classes open to the public and non-members (Zumba, Body Balance, Pilates etc). The nearest railway stations are Oakham and Corby. Rutland is a tiny but unspoiled county to explore, with many characterful villages built with the local limestone.
