Ullswater is only 3 miles where you can board a steamer from Pooley Bridge for a cruise along the lake. The northern lakes are ideal for many activities such as water sports, walking and cycling on or off road. We are just 3 miles from Penrith where there are numerous other places to eat and drink. We advise booking ahead to secure a table and also to reserve a taxi as we are in a rural location where these facilities are not 'on tap'. Askham Hall, a popular wedding venue, is 3 miles from us and again taxis should be booked in advance to avoid disappointment.
