Ideally situated, close to the most spectacular and dramatic sections of Hadrian’s Wall and important Roman sites, Belford House is a traditional, stone building offering a warm welcome and five high quality, en-suite rooms. All the well-appointed rooms have their own silent fridge with fresh milk and complimentary bottled water, cafetiere with fresh coffee, flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, hairdryer, iron/ironing board and black out blinds. The modern en-suite bathrooms all have large, powerful showers, heated towel rails, shaver points, complimentary toiletries and big, fluffy towels. Belford House has the benefit of being based in the pretty, market town of Haltwhistle, with all amenities within walking distance, and yet the beautiful, unspoilt Northumberland countryside is on its doorstep. There is free on-street parking outside the property and free car parks nearby.

Claimed to be the ‘Centre of Britain’, Haltwhistle and Belford House make an excellent base to discover the diverse, stunning border county of Northumberland. From castles to world heritage sites, beautiful country walks and cycle routes to award winning coastlines, there is something for everyone. Within one hours drive, to the west is historic Carlisle with its famous castle, Gretna and South West Scotland; to the north, Kielder, Redesdale and the English and Scottish Borders; and to the east, picturesque market towns, spectacular coastlines and the vibrant city of Newcastle. The Lake District is also an easy drive away.
