I am the proprietor of the Belle Vue Guest House & Cottage in the quiet village of Denver on the outskirts of Downham Market, Norfolk

Just a couple of hundred yards from the centre of Denver, the cottage is situated just around the corner on the sought after location of Whin Common Road. The village has a pub; a village general store and post office; two golf courses; fishing lakes; a sailing club; and, the recently refurbished Denver Windmill complex which hosts amongst other businesses, the Blackstone Engine Bar (serving locally brewed ales and several gins) and Violets Tea Rooms. Parking is not a problem either at the cottage, the village or town. It's a popular area for cycling and walking with the River Great Ouse and Denver Sluice complex popular locations to pass through. We are just a short walk from the historic market town of Downham Market which hosts a number of very good restaurants (Allium, Naxos, The Cave, Dangs, The Downham Tandoori, Titash); a couple of minutes drive from the famous Arbuckles American Diner; Church Farm Rare Breeds Centre; and, The Hare Arms country pub at Stow. During the Spring/Summer, a visit to Watatunga (Norfolk's Wildlife Safari) is just 10 minutes away, combine it with a visit to Jack's Diner at Woodlakes. Oxborough Hall is only 15 minutes away and within half an hour you could be enjoying the wonderful surroundings of the King's Sandringham Estate and the North Norfolk coast. Go south, Ely and it's stunning cathedral is no more than 20 minutes away.
