Cosy country cottage at the foot of the Mourne Mountains set in rural countryside. Ideal base for walkers to explore from or the perfect location if you are looking a quiet relaxing holiday. A 5 minute drive will take you to the bustling town of Kilkeel, the Silent Valley Forest Park or to the quaint fishing village of Annalong. The beautiful seaside town of Newcastle is a 15 minute drive along the coast where you will have a wide choice of excellent restaurants and shops. The garden is completely enclosed and is ideal for small children and dogs. An outside patio area with bbq is the perfect place to unwind after a busy day sight seeing. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need including oven, grill, fridge freezer, dish washer, microwave, kettle, toaster, sandwich toaster, coffee machine that takes pods etc. During the cold winter months we provide a starter basket of logs as nothing beats a nice fire on a cold wet day. You will need a car to get about as we are approx a 5 minute drive to the closest shop.

We both love hosting and meeting new people. We love this beautiful area and have lived here for many years and are delighted to be able to provide accommodation for people to enjoy, explore and experience the tranquility and breathtaking scenery that is all around us. It is our aim to provide a cottage which is both welcoming and exceeds guests expectations when they arrive.

We live in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and are blessed with so many beautiful areas to explore. From mountain walks for all abilities to beach walks, harbours, sand dunes - the list is endless. Annalong has one of the oldest harbours in this island and well worth a visit to see the old cornmill. Newcastle has a wealth of restaurants, ice cream shops and boutique shops with the latest style and really nice craft shops. Kilkeel has a large fishing fleet and is a bustling town with a good variety of shops.
