Sweetcombe Cottage Holidays is a locally based self-catering agency focusing on East Devon. Established over 35 years ago with just a handful of cottages, the company has grown to the point where we now successfully market a wide variety of properties throughout the region. From the start we were determined to build up a reputation for offering only the best of properties. The company has grown, but everyone involved still holds true to the combination of commitment and professionalism that is the foundation of the company's success. Family run to this day, we are still able to offer that personal service which sadly in today's ever increasing pace of life can sorely fall by the wayside.

A charming period cottage situated within a minutes walk of the shops and restaurants in Sidmouth town centre and just off the seafront. The cottage has been completely renovated with tasteful furnishings throughout. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable ideal for a holiday at any time of the year with many homely touches. The entrance hall leads into the living room with a smart TV and seating for six guests. An open plan dining area with a dining table and seating for six guests. Please note the wood burner is not in use. There is a well-equipped fitted kitchen with appliances and separate utility area for drying clothes and storage. On the first floor there are two spacious bedrooms. The master bedroom at the front of the property with a king size bed. A second bedroom has zip and link beds that will be made up as a twin unless requested to be made as a super king. There is a s spacious white, tiled bathroom suite with a bath, WC and hand basin. On the second floor there is a further spacious bedroom with twin beds that can be made up as a super king on request. An en suite shower room with shower, WC and hand basin. Private parking for 1 car on the nearby Mill Street car park.

We have a range of holiday cottages in Sidmouth, with its abundance of independent shops it is well worth a visit, whilst the esplanade overlooks the picturesque and tranquil beach. Towards the western end of the promenade an area of sand is uncovered at low tide, along with rock pools perfect for adventures with the kids. A short walk around the pathway under the red sandstone cliffs you can find Jacobs Ladder which offers a mile of sandy beach at low tide and colourful beach huts. Climb up Jacobs Ladder to find Connaught Gardens, here there is the most wonderful café offering the biggest homemade cakes you have ever seen! Each Sunday evening throughout the summer you can sit and watch the Sidmouth Town Band play. The town and the seafront offer a wide range of activities including Paddleboarding & Kayaking, while quiet serenity can be enjoyed in the town’s gardens and outskirts. Looking for what to do in Sidmouth? Visitors can take advantage of the beautiful walks along The South West Coast Path and explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Jurassic Coast by foot or boat. There are a range of family activities such as paddleboarding, the Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary, Crealy and Seaton Tramway to keep the whole family entertained.
