A romantic, peaceful retreat steps away from historic Lancaster Castle and 3 minutes walk to Lancaster Town Centre. Snuggle up on a comfy sofa by a wood-burning fire in this charming stone cottage, nestled within a tranquil walled oasis just minutes from Lancaster town centre. Castle View is truly unique, offering a light and airy interior with white paneling, skylights, and a pitched roof. Sip a glass of prosecco as you admire spectacular views of Lancaster Castle from the cozy window seat, and let the serenity inspire your plans for the day ahead. Treat yourself to a luxurious soak in a large copper tub, complemented by Castle View's homemade lavender bubble bath, before retiring to the extraordinary and exceptionally comfortable 'secret bedroom.' (Please note: Access to the secret bedroom may be challenging for some guests – see photos for details.)
I'm an artist and founder of a charity for teenagers to help give them more to do and more places to go. I live in Lancaster with my partner and our 4 children and dog! I'm often around in person or by text to help in any way that we can - although we completely understand that many guests will want to keep themselves to themselves. :)
Just a minutes walk from Lancaster Castle, 3 minutes walk from Lancaster train station and a 4 minute, breath taking walk to the shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, yet situated in a peaceful walled oasis in the heart of historic Lancaster Castle Conservation area. Whether you want a romantic retreat or a comfortable base to explore the North West - the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales & Manchester Airport are all about an hour away. Trains from the doorstep and parking available. Beauty surrounds this hidden gem of a city and the location really couldn't be better. There are so many stunning places to visit.
