Top floor suite with stunning views of Corfe Castle. The Suite is classified as a "triple room" but actually comprises double bedoom, single bedoom, and en-suite shower room from single bedroom. Beautiful ten minute stroll across fields to the castle and great local pubs and restaurants. For the convenience of guests - the Suite has tea and coffee-making facilities - so that visitors can have a hot drink after a long drive if they wish. There is also a fridge, in case guests would like to store picnic items. There is a toaster, but no cooking facilities. However, there are cooked breakfast options and 4 great gastro pubs in the village within a short stroll. The suite is compact, but well-equipped. It has excellent fibre optic broadband and TV with streaming services in both rooms. Full length cheval mirror. Great value option for guests who are looking for a comfortable base from which to explore the area without the requirement for a full, self-catering cottages. Shared access via stairs and library/reading area - which guests are welcome to use if wish. Parents of toddlers, please note that both bedrooms open onto the Suite's own small landing. There are no child safety features on the stairs or in the Suite itself, so please bear this in mind when booking. One of the most beautiful locations in Dorset and home to an iconic 1000 year old castle ruin that dominates the skyline and the village. Corfe Castle is steeped in history and framed by rolling hills. The rich and varied local landscape includes the best Jurassic Coast walks, beaches, idyllic villages, great pubs, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Kimmeridge, Studland, Swanage and riverside strolls in the pretty market town of Wareham. Corvesgate Cottage is a 10 minute stroll across fields into the heart of the pretty purbeck stone village of Corfe with its 4 great pubs, tearooms, award-winning bakery, village shop and the quaint steam railway that that runs through scenic countryside to the traditional little seaside town of Swanage 5 miles away. Other local attractions include Monkey World, Bovington Tank Museum, the ghost village of Tyneham, Athelhampton House and Gardens, the Blue Pool, National Trust properties associated with Thomas Hardy, Lawrence of Arabia and the Bankes Family of Corfe Castle, and Brownsea Island with its peacocks and red squirrels.
