You can of course come alone but it is always more fun with 9 extra people and your dog to enjoy this amazing location! Recently refurbished Coastguard Cottage is awaiting visitors to create wonderful memories together. As you enter from the lovely, refreshed courtyard the homely feel of Coastguard cottages is immediate. with the kitchen on your left and the living dining area on the right, there is an open fire. Please make use of the wood in the store. Further through the house and you have access down one small step into the only ground floor bedroom, perfect for those struggling with stairs. There is also a toilet on the ground floor. Upstairs is the arrangement of 3 well-proportioned bedrooms. The Master with its own en-suite and breath-taking views over the cliffs, then the second bedroom also with an en-suite and the same view. The third bedroom upstairs is the kids’ room with 2 bunk beds and accommodation for 4, looking over the courtyard. There is also a family bathroom on this floor. The outside spaces have been well equipped with modern but rustic furniture. In the sheltered courtyard there is a huge table ready for a banquet and a built in BBQ, which you are welcome to use, please leave it in a respectable state though. The back garden is an amazing place to be on a sunny day. Sit back with a glass of wine and enjoy this unique space, the comfy pallet sofas and the sound of crashing waves many feet below you is really magical.

Atherfield is a breathtaking location with clifftop views. The perfect get away from it all place. A car is recommended, however if you want to take the sustainable travel choice there is a bus from Ryde bus station called the Island Coaster. Please check times with Southern Vectis the bus operator on the island first. There is the opportunity to walk, ramble and cycle from Coastguard Cottages but if you just want to relax and enjoy the sound of breaking waves down on the nearby beach there is nothing more relaxing than sitting on our comfy pallet furniture and listening to the sound of nature!
