Located in the small crofting community of South Galson on the north west Atlantic coast of the Isle of Lewis & situated on the Hebridean way cycle route. It is just a 5 minute walk to the beach with access to miles of coastal walking. The Isles of Lewis and Harris are all one island so we are ideally located to explore both. Nestled in the cobble-stone courtyard at Galson Farmhouse, Crofters Retreat was converted from the small old barn, it's thick stone walls create a cosy rustic style bothy with extra little touches giving you an authentic Hebridean stay that's a little more special. Offering open-plan living & sleeping space with views into the walled garden. There is a super comfy king-size bed with fresh cotton bedlinen. Wardrobe & drawers. Watch TV in bed or snuggle on the cosy sofa or easy chair. There is excellent Wi-Fi to keep you in touch with the world & plenty of books, maps & information to help you make the most of your stay There is a separate fully equipped kitchen/diner with dining table & chairs. A hob, oven & microwave to cook your meals also a toaster, coffee machine & fridge. Complimentary tea, coffee, fresh milk and biscuits. The shower room has an electric shower, wash basin, WC, heated towel rail & complimentary toiletries. Towels & bathrobes provided Outside you may eat el fresco at picnic table in the courtyard or take a seat in the walled garden to enjoy excellent coastal views towards the Butt of Lewis lighthouse or watch summer sunsets over the ocean in the evening. You have your own private parking space. Walk through our island croft & meet the sheep with their lambs or take a seat to rest whilst enjoying spectacular Atlantic ocean views. With so much to see & do you may wish to stay a while so suggest a stay of 5 nights or more to make the most of exploring these beautiful islands.

You may also order food & drink We are island crofters with a small flock of blackface sheep.
