Driftwood Cottage is an ideal Seahouses holiday cottage getaway for couples and families seeking a coastal escape. The property caters for up to 6 guests with 3 bedrooms, two of which have king size beds and the third bedroom offers bunk beds for children. Its prime location offers easy access to coastal exploration and proximity to local amenities. During the day, enjoy leisurely strolls along sandy beaches, and in the evening, cosy up to the woodburning stove. Whether you spend your days exploring the coastline or immersing yourself in local festivities, Driftwood Cottage offers a tranquil retreat to unwind, reconnect, and create cherished memories. Please note that our working hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (excluding Bank Holidays) so any emails over the weekends will be responded to on the next working day. Bookings can be made 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and we have an 'out of hours' contact for when you stay at our property. PETS - up to 2 dogs are welcome, however, there is an additional fee of 25.00 per dog per stay that needs to be paid before your arrival and we ask that it be kept out of the bedrooms and off any furniture. PARKING - the parking is to the rear of the property and is suitable for small cars, there is additional 'on-street' parking available across the road (the sign says private) but this is 'first come, first served'.

Seahouses lies on the Northumberland coast approximately mid-way between Bamburgh Castle and Beadnell, with their award winning beaches. The town has excellent amenities and is a popular destination for both tourists and locals. The small harbour was built in the late 19th century, and today it provides shelter to a number of attractive fishing boats. Boat trips leave from the harbour, taking passengers out to the delightful Farne Islands, to see puffins and other seabirds, as well as the UK’s largest colony of grey seals. There is even a possibility of spotting dolphins, porpoises and whales on the boat ride. The extensive area of gently sloping, sandy beach stretching north of the harbour is backed by low, grassy dunes and features a number of rocky outcrops. This can be a good destination for anyone who enjoys tranquillity and big open skies. The water quality here is good and the beach is used by birdwatchers and sea anglers as well as walkers. On clear days the Farne Islands can be seen in the distance.
