This idyllic location offers a perfect base from which to explore the many natural and cultural treasures that this beautiful region has to offer. Offering a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort, this cosy and well-appointed cottage provides all the facilities and amenities to ensure a comfortable and memorable stay. Walk in the front door of Duck Cottage, through the entrance hall into a cosy, relaxing lounge, complete with original pamment floor tiles, comfortable sofas, a lovely warm log burner, and large flatscreen TV. The spacious fully equipped kitchen with Range Cooker and Breakfast Bar then takes you through to the light and airy dining room, here there is also a sofa bed. At the back of the ground floor is a utility room, with door to the courtyard, a perfect sunny spot for morning coffee. The downstairs shower room (theres also a large upstairs shower room) has some more original features and exposed beams plus a modern efficient shower. The original back door opens onto the amazing enclosed garden, at the front the Summer House holds more garden furniture. The large back lawn offers unspoilt views over the surrounding countryside. Upstairs, the large Master bedroom has a King Size bed, wardrobe, storage unit, dressing table and an ensuite loo and basin. The small second bedroom has 2 full size single beds, a chest of drawers and some hanging space. We provide luxury bed linens and towels. The upstairs shower room has a large walk in shower, and views over the garden and the countryside beyond. Dogs welcome by prior arrangement only, small fee applies. I’m Sharon, I live in Aylsham with my husband Nick and our cheeky cocker spaniel, Columbo. We love living in North Norfolk with all the beauty of area and we enjoy taking Columbo for long walks on the beach, particularly in the quieter winter months, then back to relax in front of a cosy log fire. Duck Cottage is our much loved holiday home and we hope you enjoy staying here just as much as we do. We have a travel cot and a high chair available, please request upon booking. We allow up to 2 small/medium dogs, a small additional charge applies. Dogs must stay downstairs please and are never to be left unattended in the cottage.

It's an excellent spot for birdwatching, seal-watching boat trips, and scenic walks.
 Holkham Beach is a stunning stretch of golden sands and dunes is often considered one of the finest beaches in England. Holkham Hall, an 18th-century Palladian mansion surrounded by a vast deer park, is also nearby and well worth a visit.
 Wells-next-the-Sea is a bustling seaside town with colourful beach huts, a working fishing port, and a charming quay. Enjoy fresh seafood, take a ride on the Wells and Walsingham Light Railway, or explore the beautiful pine woods.
