This stone-built detached period cottage is located at the end of a secluded, grassy lane in the lovely hamlet of Newhouses. This attractive property boasts many original features including beamed ceilings, flagged floors and original slate shelves in the kitchen. The living room offers guests a multi-fuel stove whilst there is an attractive garden around three sides of the cottage and off road parking for a maximum of two cars. The property also offers excellent views across one of the three peaks, Pen-y-Ghent. With three bedrooms able to sleep six people, this is a wonderful home from home whether you're travelling with family or friends. Sets within the National Park, the village of Horton-in-ribblesdale is composed of traditional Dales buildings, a lovely Norman church, a village shop and two pubs. The surrounding countryside is an ideal location for fell walking, close to the famous Three Peaks Walk, Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. The famous Settle to Carlisle Railway passes through the village and crosses the Ribblehead viaduct - completed in 1870. The nearby market town of Settle is home to a selection of pubs and restaurants whilst the market square features a historic three-storey building with shops on two levels and houses above. The Victoria Hall serves as a cinema on Fridays and Saturdays and offers other activities such as folk nights throughout the year. Malham Cove and Gordale Scar are within easy reach, as are the towns of Skipton and Malham.
