Lea Hurst is a beautifully restored 19th-century manor house set above the Derwent Valley on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Once the beloved summer home of Florence Nightingale, the house retains much of its original character, including authentic furnishings and artefacts connected to her family. Lovingly restored by our family over the past five years, Lea Hurst blends elegant period interiors with modern comfort. Guests can enjoy inviting reception rooms with log fires, thoughtfully designed bedroom suites, and spectacular gardens with peaceful seating areas overlooking the surrounding countryside. The property offers a rare opportunity to experience life in a historic country house while enjoying tranquillity, comfort, and outstanding natural beauty.

Our family has carefully restored Lea Hurst to honour its remarkable history while creating a warm and welcoming environment for guests. We live locally and are passionate about sharing this special home and its connection to Florence Nightingale with visitors from around the world.
