It is very homely and comfortable, quiet at night and the views are incredible. Vanessa and Jim are lovely and the breakfast is a good selection, freshly cooked. Pancakes are my favourite.

We are an established guest house of 14 years and are situated in a beautiful part of the North East of England. Our rooms are comfortable and warm and all are en-suite some have the most magnificent views of the surrounding countryside. We are fully licensed and food can be available on request.
We thoroughly enjoy meeting new people/guests and over the years have become firm friends with many of our regulars. Jim's main hobby is to re-instate vintage wagons, football (he often goes to watch our local team) and politics (yawn) and Denise likes gardening, reading, travelling, going out for nice meals, cooking and walking. We have two dogs who also enjoy all the attention they can get from our guests.
We are in a beautiful area of England. Our immediate location is in a village which is pretty quiet really, we have extensive trailways only meters from our door for people who like to walk, cycle, horse ride etc. The nearest town is Crook which is only a mile away where there are many bars, restaurants and takeaways, there are also supermarkets should guests need them. We are only nine miles from the fantastic city of Durham and the incredible cathedral, here guests will find a wide variety of bars and restaurants and a lively night life. Farther afield there are castles, moors, waterfalls (the largest in England), some lovely market towns and we are also only a few miles to the fantastic Kynren.
