We are adjacent to Torquay and the English Riviera with delightful beach locations conveniently reached, such as Babbacombe and Oddicombe which has the Blue Flag Award. Brixham can be reached by a short ferry ride across Torbay from Torquay Harbour. Come down and take in the bracing sea air, Brixham has a thriving fish market, where you can buy freshly caught fish for you to come back and cook in the apartment or barbecue outside on the terrace for a pleasing alfresco occasion. The Dart Valley Steam Railway runs from Paignton direct to Kingswear, where there is a ferry to Dartmouth. Teignmouth is a large seaside town and small fishing port situated at the head of the Teign Estuary seven miles away, which caters for children with its good entertainment facilities. Kingskerswell is also on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park, with delightful pretty villages and open moorland blending in with farms and woodland. This is agreeable walking country with characterful pubs serving up local food fayre to match Devon ciders and real ales. Places of interest to visit are Moretonhampstead, Ashburton and Bovey Tracey.
