Welcome to Gellyburn Cottage! I'm your host, Melanie, and I'm thrilled to have you here. My family and I live on this beautiful farm: my husband, Stewart, our daughters Sophie and Abbey, and my lovely mother, Heather. Stewart and his father have dedicated many years to this farm, with 32 and 52 years, respectively! After spending some time in Kinross, Stewart felt a strong pull to return to his roots here. We built Gellyburn Cottage in 2015, when our kids were just 9 and 13 years old. Since then, we've made countless cherished memories and celebrated many special milestones. Stewart is now busy running the farm, while I enjoy working at a local company that cultivates and sells Christmas trees. With my background in hospitality as a Hotel Manager for ten years, I really missed that atmosphere, so we decided to freshen up our farmhouse this year and share it with wonderful guests like you. Just a little heads up: our farm is an active working environment, and it can get pretty lively during certain seasons. My absolute favourite time of year is lambing! While I might not be the best at it, I absolutely love taking care of any orphaned lambs that come our way—I currently have eight adorable "pet" lambs here! We happily welcome pets to our cottage, but we kindly ask that they are well-behaved and kept on a lead outside of the enclosed garden, as we have livestock to protect. Our household is quite lively, featuring two Border Collies, Jax and Seamus, a sweet Pug named Parker, and two wonderful cats, Ozzy and Lola. We even have a Welsh Cob called Del Boy! During your stay, you might spot our goats, Charlie and Ellie, along with our friendly geese roaming about with our other pets. 🐐 We truly hope you enjoy our home as much as we do and that your stay brings you many happy and lasting memories. Welcome again! 🎉
