Situated a few hundred meters from Redcar Beach, about a mile from Redcar Racecourse and a 5 minute walk to the excellent Cleveland Golf Course, The Dunes is a charming ground floor apartment finished to a high standard and with very comfy beds! Not only are we situated in the historic 'Coatham' part of Redcar, but we are ideally placed as a base to explore the wider area, from hiking up Roseberry Topping and North Yorks National Park, taking in the architecture of Saltburn or Whitby, visiting the newly renovated Kirkleatham Walled Gardens, or sightseeing at the (in)famous Redcar Vertical Pier. This part of the North East is absolutely fantastic and you will not find anywhere better to stay whilst you explore. Recently refurbished and fully equipped we aim to make your stay with us as pleasant and comfortable as possible. Choose to eat in and watch Netflix (all other common streaming services are available to sign-in to), or go for a wander around Redcar and the local eateries. We can accommodate up to 4 people with either 1 double and 1 super king bed, or 1 double and 2 singles.

The property is situated in 'Coatham', an area dating back centuries and mentioned in the Doomsday Book. Once famed for its healing waters, Coatham was a hive of smuggling activity once upon a time. A mile or so up the coast is 'The Gare' which is home to dozens of little fishermen's huts and possibly one of the finest beaches in the country. On the outskirts of Redcar, and only 5-10 minutes in the car, is a world renowned business and industrial site at Wilton. We are also only minutes away from the redevelopment of the British Steel site and the upcoming Freeport. This part of Redcar was also the location for the filming of the hit movie 'Atonement'.
