Adele moved to Harmony House in September 2021, after feeling called to hospitality. She has spent many years working in the voluntary sector, as well as the 'people' sectors of life and spent many years in church leadership, including leading a home church, hosting many events and courses there. Adele leads a full life with many interests, appreciating aesthetics of creation and loves to do pastel portraits, mainly of children and animals, and she is a practicing Consultant Trichologist and Expert Witness. Spending time with her family is paramount to her and she visits often with her daughters and grandchildren. You will often find a friend or two helping out at Harmony House during busy periods and events.

Oplysninger om overnatningsstedet

Harmony House is a boutique B&B with each room uniquely stylised. Parts of Harmony House date back to the 17th Century and we have been keen to retain many of the original features whilst upgrading it to 21st century standards. The rustic red brickwork blends well with the surrounding neighbourhood. We are situated in the tranquil rural village of Stillingfleet, offering relaxed luxury accommodation overlooking The Green, yet we are only a 15 minute drive from the centre of York. If you are staying in one of our gorgeous rooms in the main house, we include a delicious breakfast with choices from our al-la-carte breakfast menu. All our dishes are prepared using quality ingredients, which are locally sourced wherever possible. A Room-Only option is available in all rooms. A stay in Willow Cottage comes with a complimentary continental breakfast hamper on bookings of 3 or more nights. Children & up to 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome in Willow Cottage with an extra fee, but we regret we cannot accommodate either in the main house. Adele and her team are really looking forward to welcoming you into their beautiful home from home and hope you have an enjoyable stay as their highly valued guests. Please note: we have limited public transport to the area and a car is recommended!

Location: Harmony House overlooks the village green and Stillingfleet Beck, where you can often see the barn owl flying, or hear a woodpecker at his work. It is set in a lovely quiet location, surrounded by miles of open countryside, yet only 10 minutes drive from the outskirts of York. We are about 1 mile from the Sustrans 65 cycleway and there are several scenic walks around the area, with myriads of public footpaths winding their way through the local countryside. Eating out: There are several excellent restaurants, pubs and a garage within 3 miles. There is no shop in the village itself, but you will find supermarkets and the York Designer Outlet just a short drive away. Public Transport: We have a bus service (number 42), which runs every 90 minutes until around 6pm (except Sundays). The Park and Ride is just 10 minutes drive away. Taxis are available for hire from York and Selby.

One-Bedroom House

This 17th Century Coach house cottage is both self-catering and self-contained. Willow Cottage is set over 2 floors and is located to the rear of Harmony House with its own private entrance.

The bedroom can be configured as super-king or twin beds and has an en-suite shower room accessed through the bedroom. There is a full size pull-down double in the lounge area.

Cole and Lewis toiletries are for your use with our compliments. It benefits from its own comfortable lounge, a dining table and a small kitchen where you will find a complimentary continental breakfast hamper* for your first breakfast.

The quoted price for Willow Cottage is for 2 adults, however, Willow Cottage can accommodate up to 2 extra adults or children and 2 well behaved dogs at an extra charge. Please note that we do not have any child safety equipment in Willow and so your child will need to be supervised at all times to ensure their safety.

Please note, there are low sloping ceilings in the bedroom.

*Available for stays of 3 nights or more.
