Harthanger View Cottage in Luxborough (Somerset) has recently been converted from a barn to holiday cottage for four guests. The property is situated on a working farm within Exmoor National Park; it is nestled in an idyllic valley between the Brendon Hills and the Exmoor coast and countryside. The ground floor consists of an open plan kitchen and sitting room. One bedroom with a king size bed and its own bathroom (bath and separate shower) leads off this. The centre piece of the living room is a spiral staircase that leads up to a mezzanine area, which has two twin beds and an en-suite comprising a toilet and bath. Outside there is a newly completed patio with a picnic table. The kitchen has an electric cooker, ceramic hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washer/dryer. The living area has a TV with DVD player and a wood burning stove. Logs are free. The cottage has oil-fired central heating throughout. Due to the mezzanine area, the cottage is not suitable for small children. Harthanger View is situated on the outskirts of the pretty village of Luxborough. The Royal Oak Inn serves drinks and good food, approx 1 mile away. Wheddon Cross (approx 5 miles) has a newly refurbished mini-supermarket, Post Office facilities and petrol station with good opening times. Roadwater is also has a local shop and pub which serves food. Dunster is also approx 4 miles, but in the other direction, this wonderful medieval village is really worth a visit, it has lots of shops, restaurants, tea rooms and a village shop. Minehead is the nearest town, approximately 7 miles away. Here you will find the larger supermarkets and petrol stations (Tesco and Morrisons are both situated on the outskirts of the town and have longer opening hours), most major high street banks with cash machines, plus a range of other shops throughout the town.
