On the ground floor you will find an elegant living space with hand crafted tunnel fire, a beautiful well equipped kitchen and a cosy snug area with dining table - perfect for lighting the candles in the candelabra and enjoying a romantic dinner. Step outside to the private terrace area where you will find a beautiful seating area and the jewel in the crown - your private hot tub - ready and waiting for you to help soak away the stresses and strains of modern living. You can also enjoy the ‘Den’ (next to the hot tub) - a warm and cosy Scandinavian style cabin. A tranquil calming space to relax and unwind with games, magazines and often used as a handy changing room for the tub. The pretty front garden with beautiful lawn and planting commands excellent views of the quaint village of Kirk Ireton and over to the hills beyond. The stairs in Heather Cottage will lead you to a stylish master bedroom with magnificent hand crafted four poster bed. Think luxurious fabrics, atmospheric lighting, original paintings and beautiful furnishings to create a warm and welcoming retreat. Relax in the deep double bath in the en suite bathroom where you will also find a huge bespoke shower cube. Fluffy towels, robes, slippers and beautiful toiletries await you.

Within easy reach of some charming country towns such as Ashbourne, Wirksworth and Matlock and many popular tourist attractions, stately homes and beauty spots, Heather Cottage is well positioned to enjoy everything the Derbsyshire Dales and Peak District has to offer. Why not try Carsington Water - a beautiful reservoir just a 5-10 minute drive from the cottage or why not put on those walking boots and go and explore by foot. Be sure to enjoy the many walks around the local area and the pretty picturesque scenery. After a good walk why not enjoy a real ale in the famous Barley Mow just across the road from Heather Cottage.
