Lovely semi detached Dormer bungalow in the village of Underbarrow, just 7.5 miles from Bowness-on-Windermere and 5 miles from Kendal.
It has 3 bedrooms with a family bathroom & airing cupboard to the first floor, downstairs there’s a well-equipped kitchen, welcoming living/dining room with a wood burning stove.
Outside there’s an enclosed dog friendly lawned garden with patio area with beautiful views across to the nearby fells, an ideal place for relaxing on a sunny day. Parking for 3 cars.
Hillgarth is a lovely cosy place. A seven minute walk from an award winning local village inn (The Black Labrador) and is a perfect base for exploring the beauty the Lake District National Park has to offer all year around.
The house is dog/pet friendly with Floors for Paws non slip flooring downstairs (no pets allowed on furniture or upstairs). A wood burning stove & garage space for storing motorbikes, bikes, canoes & any other outdoor equipment during your stay. Oil fired central heating with radiators in each room (except the kitchen).
I’m Paul, I’ve lived in & around Underbarrow all my life. My hobbies include playing badminton, riding motorcycles & music.
This lovely holiday home is perfectly placed to enjoy fascinating walking, cycling/mountain biking from the door into the fells of South Lakeland or into the Lyth Valley, famous for it's damson trees which are festooned in blossom during spring.
Being on the edge of South Lakeland there is always plenty to do & enjoy with it’s ever changing scenery.
A 10 minute drive to the market town of Kendal which is famous for its Mint Cake.
The bustling town of Bowness-on-Windermere is 20 minutes' drive away, where you can enjoy a colourful mix of shops and restaurants, along with boat trips to Ambleside and Lakeside.
Just 1.5 miles away from Underbarrow is the Beckside 9-hole golf course, and also the renowned Windermere Golf Club is within each reach.
An ideal location for the most energetic lakeland break or relaxing in the tranquil village life.
The nearest shops are a 10 minute drive in Kendal.
