Overlooking beautiful gardens, our spacious Hodder cottage can accommodate up to 6 guests across its three bedrooms. Located next door to the adjoining Ribble cottage, Hodder benefits from an open-plan layout and skylights that flood the interior with natural light. In the winter, zone-controlled underfloor heating keeps the cottage warm, while in the summer months, guests can open the bi-fold doors and enjoy mealtimes on the patio. Two double bedrooms and one twin room make Hodder a great choice for larger families and groups. While the master bedroom benefits from its own luxury en-suite, a master bathroom boasts a roll top bath, sink and separate shower.
Hodder’s modern kitchen houses all of the latest appliances, including a washer/dryer, microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer. Keen cooks will be pleased to find a fully equipped kitchen and an extendable dining table that comfortably seats six. In the lounge area, two comfy sofas, a large flat screen TV with Freeview and BluRay DVD, as well as WiFi throughout the cottage, will keep guests entertained on rainy days. Bi-fold doors in the lounge frame a serene view of the trees while opening out onto a sun-soaked patio complete with an outdoor dining area. Here, guests can spend summer evenings outside cooking a meal on the BBQ and watching the sun set over the treetops.

We're situated in the small rural village of Langho in serene countryside with stunning views of the Ribble Valley. This also places us within the official Forest of Bowland AONB, a setting that has inspired many - including J.R.R. Tolkien and the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
There are more than 40 idyllic villages surrounding Langho, the nearest of which is Whalley; just a 5 min drive or 30 min walk. Along with a beautiful Abbey, the Grade II listed Whalley Viaduct (the largest in Lancashire), shops, a deli, and a bakery, there are pubs, bars and restaurants to suit every appetite.
The charming market town of Clitheroe is only a 15 min drive away and offers a large choice of supermarkets, independent shops, places to eat, and a beautiful park and playground in the grounds of the iconic medieval Castle.
For days out by car, The Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and the seaside are all less than an hour away.
As our cottages are in the Ribble Valley we are perfectly situated for guests coming further afield as we’re close to Junction 31 of the M6 with very good transport links. Preston is a 30 min drive away where direct trains go to London (2 hrs), to Glasgow (2 hrs) and to Edinburgh (2 hrs 30 mins). Described as Lancashire and Yorkshire’s hub into and out of the North, Manchester and Leeds are approx 1 hr drive away and both cities have international airports.
The famous warmth of Lancastrian hospitality ensures visitors from all over the globe return time and time again.
