Nelson House was built in the late 1700's and in 2020 we have converted the old stables into Horatio's, our one bedroomed self contained apartment, complete with a private garden and patio area. Horatio's offers self catering at it's best with a fully equipped kitchen, including oven, microwave, dishwasher and a BBQ outside. We have provided luxury linens and towels, with separate bath and shower facilities and Tropic toiletries to pamper. Worstead is a quiet rural village, with a fabulous pub and fish and chip van on Thursday evenings. It is located in the heart of the Norfolk countryside, 30 mins drive to the city of Norwich, 15 mins drive to the Norfolk Coast and 10 mins drive to Wroxham, the centre of the Norfolk Broads National Park. Worstead is on the Bittern train line to the seaside resorts of Sheringham and Cromer and to the city of Norwich with connecting trains to London and Stansted Airport. Our home is across the road from open fields, many public footpaths and quiet country roads to cycle along. Please note: Some mobile networks don't get great service where we live- Norfolk is very rural and coverage does vary by network- look at it as a complete break and relax!

The Grieve family love to cycle and walk in the area and we spend many weekends sailing on Wroxham Broad. Growing up in Norfolk and having lived in North Norfolk, South Norfolk and now Worstead as a family we can share with you our knowledge of the county, our favourite pubs, sights and rambles. We welcome you to the beauty and peacefulness of Norfolk and hope that you will enjoy it's tasty beers, cheeses and delicious local produce in many of our great restaurants.

There are numerous National Trust properties in the area such as Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall and the Norfolk Wildlife Trust Visitor centres of Hickling Broad and Ranworth Broad are only a 20 minute drive away. For children Bewilderwood is a magical wonderland of tree houses, slides and zip lines and Wroxham Barns offers all sorts of fun and farm animal encounters. The Time and Tide Museum in Great Yarmouth is one of our favourites, along with Norwich Castle and the Broads Museum in Stalham. Hiring a boat or canoe on the Broads is a wonderful way to spend a day or boarding an organised boat trip or wildlife excursion to sea the seals. For bucket and spade fun, penny arcades and ice cream head to Sheringham, Cromer or Great Yarmouth. Our favourite beach walks are Happisburgh and Holkham.
