There is a friendly team on hand from 10am - 3pm Monday to Friday to help you during your stay if needed. The team is always available by phone to discuss any requirements.

There are 16 self catering holiday cottages which make up Knockerdown cottages, sleeping from 4 to 12 people They are all well equipped for all your self catering needs, with fully equipped kitchens, spacious lounge/dining areas, all bedding and towels are provided. Four of these being dog friendly, please get in touch to find out which these are prior to booking. Guests can enjoy our communal heated indoor swimming pool which is kept at a lovely 30 degrees, with walk in steps for easy access. It is open all year round with the exception of early closure on Christmas & New Years Eve and CLOSED on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. The swimming pool opens at 8.30 am and closes at 6.30 pm. (Early Closure on Christmas & New Years Eve). Unisex changing rooms with showers and toilets are available opposite the entrance to the swimming pool. There is a communal games room with table tennis table, pool and football table (pool and football table are coin operated), communal laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer (coin operated), outdoor children's play area with swings, slides and a hobbit house, plus a large meadow area to blow off some steam, or just simply sit and relax and take in the beautiful views. If you would like to bring your bikes with you, we have secure undercover cycle racks and a bike maintenance unit.

Knockerdown Cottages are set in the rolling hills of rural Derbyshire, just a 5-10 minute walk from the beautiful Carsington Water, set in beautiful surroundings with a water sports centre, offering kayaking, windsurfing, paddle boarding, canoeing and also fishing, or simply cycle or walk around the lake which is approx. 8.5 miles, or just take a stroll around the shops and visitor centre, have lunch in the Mainsail restaurant over looking the lake, or a coffee whilst taking in the fabulous views. The Knockerdown pub is conveniently situated just across the road, serving traditional ales and home cooked food, so if you do not feel like cooking, it is just a short stroll away, with a large beer garden and children's play area. The cottages are conveniently situated between the two market towns of Ashbourne and Wirksworth, with lots of local places to go and explore, such as Chatsworth House. The Heights of Abraham and Alton Towers to name but a few. Tissington Trail is also close by which gives you miles of disused railway lines making this a great escape for safe off road walking and cycling, whilst taking in the spectacular views of the rolling Derbyshire hills.
