Escape Beyond Holiday Lets is a family ran business comprising of three holiday lets situated in the historic village of Lanchester, County Durham- a luxury apartment, a contemporary townhouse and a quaint cosy cottage. All our staff are local to the area offering that warm welcome and relaxed service. We want you to feel at home in your luxury escape, with everything you require at hand so you can do as much- or as little- as you wish during your stay. Our focus is helping you enjoy that precious time together, either as a couple, a group of friends or as a family. Here at Escape Beyond we like everyone to be invited, that’s why we are 100% dog friendly! Nestled in the heart of the village, the front entrance of the cottage benefits from a private driveway with two car parking spaces. Using the front door, you will enter the lounge with its feature stone fireplace, log effect fire, beamed ceilings, Smart TV and sit in bay window. Integral to the lounge is a dining area adjoining the kitchen. With original beamed ceilings, the traditional wooden table and forms easily seats six people. An ideal sized kitchen is fully equipped for all your needs. Upstairs you will discover three bedrooms- a master bedroom with an elegant king size bed, and two double bedrooms. All bedrooms have Smart TVs, ample storage for all your belongings and beautiful furnishings throughout. The modern bathroom benefits from both a bath and a standalone shower with luxury toiletries. Externally a covered alleyway leads from the kitchen to both the front of the property and the rear garden. This alleyway houses a bicycle storage area and a place for your muddy boots after a walk in the countryside that surrounds the cottage. The rear garden comprises of a six-seater hot tub, planted area, seating area, dog shower and games room. Dog friendly!

The village is an ideal place to stay in County Durham with Durham City only a 15 minute drive and Newcastle a 30 minute drive where you will discover stunning architecture, shopping centres and restaurants galore. You will be spoilt for choice! Laburnum Cottage is a unique dog friendly three-bedroom property sleeping six guests. Fully renovated in 2024, this Victorian cottage boasts many original features, a gas log effect fire, a six seater hot tub and its very own games room making it the perfect countryside escape for all family and friends.
